Tonewoods

Granata Guitars are unmatched in tone and playability. Hand built in a humidity controlled environment, the bodies are made from only the finest tone woods available. The wood bindings and high gloss finish exemplify the care and craftsmanship that go into each and every instrument.

Five piece laminated neck

The five piece laminated necks add strength and stability through a multitude of tuning configurations. As of 2025 the neck is joined to the body with a mortise and tenon joint and barrel bolt system. Each neck is hand carved so “special request” neck shapes are no problem.

fingerboards and headstock

The headstock is scarf jointed to remove short grain. This in turn eliminates headstock cracks. Most instruments include chrome Gotoh tuners with ebony knobs unless others are requested. The individually carved necks also allow for any nut width and string spacing required. Granata Guitars now feature environmentally friendly Richlite fingerboards.

a new look

A new headstock logo was introduced in 2004. The two way truss rod adjustment was moved from the sound hole to the headstock in 2025 for convenience. The truss rod cover presents another opportunity for inlay design.
